DIY Tshirt Halloween Costume Ideas

Anyone else get stuck coming up with a Halloween costume at the very last second? I used to every year! I’m not super into Halloween, but sometimes I have to dress up anyway. So, I’ve compiled my easy go-to DIY tshirt Halloween costume ideas that are always a hit. All the costumes ideas include cut files for if you have a Cricut or Silhouette and printable options so that you can just cut them out by hand and tape them on too!

DIY Tshirt Halloween Costume Ideas

1 | Queen of Hearts

A play on those old fashioned Bicycle playing cards, this one is super easy and it literally takes less than 15 minutes to put together!

You will need:

• Queen of Hearts Design (Free Download)
• Red heat transfer vinyl (this would be fun with glittered HTV)
• Tshirt
• Red shoes
• Red lipstick
• Crown or tiara (optional)

2 | Identity Thief

This is a SUPER EASY one! You literally just have to write names on the stickers and place them all over your outfit! I’ve done this costume for work and put my coworker’s names on the stickers. I also more recently made a permanent version using the names of The Office characters. It’s always a hit and fits any budget! And you can pick up the name tag stickers for under $3 or you can download these printable/ cuttable versions for free!

You will need:

• “Hello, my name is _____” stickers or design (Free Download)
• Tshirt
• Marker or HTV in your color of choice
• List of names (friends, coworkers, tv characters, etc.)

Note: I used the free font Enbick from Font Bundles here to write the names.

3 | Error 404 – Costume Not Found

Being friends with a TON of computer nerds, most of us find this one funny. We’ve all hit that 404 page where the content can’t be found. It is fully festive without having to actually dress up!

You will need:

• Error 404 design (Free Download)
• Tshirt
• HTV of choice

4 | Prison Inmate

This is a simple orange tshirt with Jean Valjean’s prison number from Les Misérables. It is definitely fun to see who gets this one right away!
