Chocolate Chip Cookies

These finger-licking-good chocolate chip cookies are from a recipe handed down in my family! These are always a HUGE hit and leave people wanting more!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Butter
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 tsp Vanilla
  • 2 Eggs
  • 3 cups Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 375F.
  2. In a mixer, cream together the butter, sugar, and brown sugar.
  3. Add the vanilla and eggs, then mix until the ingredients are combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Once the dry ingredients have been mixed together, add them to the wet ingredients in the mixer.
  6. Mix just until the ingredients are thoroughly combined. Don't over mix the dough.
  7. Mix in the chocolate chips by hand with a wooden spoon.
  8. Line your cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  9. Scoop the dough into balls and place them on the cookie sheet.
  10. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until they start to turn a golden brown on the top.
  11. Remove from oven, and leave the cookies on the baking sheet for 5 minutes.
  12. Remove the cookies to a baking rack or counter top to finish cooling.
